According to a 2024 report published by the National Association of Colleges and Employers, while an estimated 8.2 million students wanted to intern, only 3.6. million had the opportunity, and just 2.5 million had a quality internship experience. Over 1 million did not!
To address these challenges, which stagnate growth at every level, HISPA International, Inc. is establishing a Scholarship Fund and Internship Program for students, with priority given to international business and language majors attending U.S. colleges and universities. The primary goal of this effort is to support the students' educational journey towards employment through:
1) scholarship
2) employment services support, and
3) the opportunity to apply what they have learned and gain entry-level experience through a paid internship.
To this end, HISPA is committed to raising $1,000,000 to support interns from across the U.S., as well as operating costs associated with partnership development. HISPA will target 100 U.S. universities, 100 students, and 50+ corporations over the next five years through our Vision 2030 giving campaign titled “101 Reason to Give”.
